The tutorial will take place in Madison, at the University of Wisconsin, from July 23 to July 25.
In this 3-day MATSim tutorial, you get to know MATSim from the ground up. After getting MATSim up and running on your laptop, the first day concentrates on giving a conceptual overview of MATSim, alongside running diverse MATSim scenarios in order to get acquainted with MATSim's functionality. The second day will focus on building your own MATSim scenario: What input does one need, and how must it be processed, to get a full-featured MATSim scenario? During the day, you'll create your own MATSim scenario based on provided sample data. The third day will show you how to further analyze the MATSim output and give a short introduction in how to extend MATSim to include special functionality you might require.
The tutorial will be given by people from IVT, ETH Zürich, and senozon, a consulting company focused on building and running MATSim models.
The fees will be US$ 700 for professionals and US$ 350 for students. The fee includes coffees, lunches, one dinner, and the necessary materials. If you book this tutorial until May 31st you will receive a 50$ early-bird discount.
